Sette cani e un vestito, or, Seven Reeds, One Suit

The world-renowned Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni, who was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Screenplay for Blowup and who also received in 1994 an Honorary Academy Award in recognition of his place as "one of the cinema's master visual stylists," produced Sette cani e un vestito, which can be translated as Seven Reeds, One Suit. The short piece shows the industrial scale use of Arundo donax for the production of viscose?. The size of the factory is indicative of the scalability of energy grasses for biofuels and also illustrates how Arundo donax has successfully been grown in large quantities historically. Two formats of the clip can be downloaded below, see External Links at the bottom of the page.
